Kitchen Internship - Full-Time

About the role

Sofitel Barcelona Skipper, a 5-star upscale hotel in the city centre of Barcelona just metres from the beach, is offering a full-time kitchen internship. The intern works in the whole Kitchen department within a young and enthusiastic team, and the internship lasts at least 6 months, 5 days a week (40 hours).

Key responsibilities

• Learn to prepare the daily service and the mise-en-place.
• Clean and maintain your work area and the kitchenware.
• Learn to use work machines correctly and wear individual protection equipment.
• Store prepared products properly in the right chamber and mark their preparation date.
• Annotate the products needed for the next service.
• Keep your work area tidy and comply with the environmental policy.

Required profile

• Eligible to work in Spain from the start date; no visa or work permit sponsorship is offered.
• Currently enrolled in a hospitality school or a business school.
• Eager to learn, with no prior specialization required.
• Available for at least 6 months, 5 days a week, 40 hours a week.

Required skills

• Excellent command of Spanish and English; French is a plus.
• Strong social and communication skills.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and detail-oriented.
