Lead Commercial Data Architect

About the role

BASE Life Science is a consulting firm that helps life sciences companies get their commercial data right, from master data and data platforms to customer engagement programmes. As Lead Commercial Data Architect you act as the data architect for clients while also helping lead the Commercial data team inside BASE. The role can be shaped around whichever side suits you best.

Key responsibilities

• Act as lead data architect on MDM and data platform programmes for life sciences clients
• Set up and run data governance, including ownership, standards and decision rights
• Chair design authority meetings and make architecture calls across MDM, data platform and CRM integration
• Work with client stakeholders, from business owners to IT leadership
• Manage and develop consultants in the data team
• Lead or contribute to RFP responses and solution proposals
• Present in client orals and pre-sales meetings
• Share knowledge and help grow the data practice

Required profile

• A proven track record in a leading role on MDM or data platform implementations, deep in one and credible across both
• Experience managing and developing people
• Pre-sales experience such as RFP responses, proposals or orals
• Confident spoken and written communication with business and technical audiences, excellent English

Required skills

• MDM (e.g. Informatica MDM, Reltio MDM)
• Data platforms (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake, Informatica IDMC)
• Data governance and running a design authority or similar architecture forum
• Delivery methodologies such as Agile, waterfall and hybrid
• Customer engagement processes such as CRM, marketing automation, consent management and event and engagement management

A plus: deep knowledge of CE processes, an MDM or data platform certification, knowledge of IQVIA or Veeva data models, and GAMP 5 training or experience. The position is offered in Denmark and Spain; applications are submitted in English.
