Lead (Field) Service Technician

About the role

Sulzer is looking for an experienced Lead (Field) Service Technician in Barcelona. The technician installs, configures, calibrates and repairs technical products and systems at customer sites, carries out maintenance and technical support tasks and may give onsite training to customer support staff. The role suits experienced support-level staff who work autonomously and need only closer supervision in non-routine situations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality mechanical and electrical service to customers, including commissioning, maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting of electrical systems and automation.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and support in coordination with the Workshop Manager and the Service Center team.
• Supervise installations, assemblies and commissioning carried out by Sulzer subcontractors in the area, following the Workshop Manager's instructions.
• Act as a technical contact for the Sales team in the assigned region, supporting site visits for measurements, analysis and studies, or complex quotations and projects.
• Perform driving and delivery tasks for the Mining & Construction division when required by the Workshop Manager.

Required profile

• Intermediate or advanced Electromechanical Technician qualification (FP I / FP II equivalent) or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Basic Occupational Risk Prevention Training and safety training for the specific work area.
• Valid driver's license.
