Senior Project Manager - Water Business

About the role

Sulzer is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its Water business in Barcelona. The role supports complex customer projects and commercial activities at the intersection of engineering, sales and project execution, within the water treatment sector. You will work in an international environment with technical, commercial and operational teams and keep regular contact with colleagues at the headquarters in Sweden.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and sales briefings for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Analyse customer specifications and identify the technical requirements needed for project execution.
• Evaluate technical solutions and support the preparation of accurate, competitive proposals.
• Provide technical guidance during project implementation and help with troubleshooting when required.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales and commercial teams to keep the project aligned throughout its lifecycle.
• Support customer discussions with technical expertise and commercial insight.
• Manage several opportunities and priorities while keeping quality and deadlines.

Required profile

• University degree in Environmental, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in the water treatment sector.
• Strong technical and commercial acumen.
• Experience in tendering, proposal management, technical sales or related activities.
• Fluent written and spoken English; ability to work in an international environment and with colleagues in Sweden.
• Preferred: experience in cross-functional and international teams, supporting complex customer solutions from proposal to implementation, and knowledge of industrial or municipal water treatment applications.
