Legal Associate – Customer Service (EU261)

About the role

Ryanair is seeking a Legal Associate to support its Customer Service Legal team in handling EU Regulation 261/2004 matters. You will help protect the airline’s interests while ensuring compliance with passenger‑rights legislation across all operating jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage high‑volume litigation arising from flight disruptions under EU261.
• Collaborate with CS Lawyers, Legal Associate Managers, and CS Legal Supervisors to develop effective defence strategies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of EU and national passenger‑rights legislation.
• Provide legal advice and support to the broader company on consumer protection issues.

Required profile

• Law degree obtained in a European country.
• Experience with EU261 or related passenger‑rights matters (advantageous).
• Strong understanding of European consumer protection legislation.
• Pro‑active, can‑do attitude with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent organisational, drafting and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel as needed.
