Legal Associate (EU261 Litigation)

About the role

Ryanair is seeking a Legal Associate to support its Customer Service Legal team in handling EU Regulation 261/2004 claims across Europe. The role involves managing a high volume of passenger‑rights litigation, developing strategies, and ensuring compliance with evolving aviation consumer law.

Key responsibilities

• Process and manage EU261‑related disputes in all jurisdictions where Ryanair operates.
• Collaborate with CS Lawyers, Legal Associate Managers, and Legal Supervisors to devise litigation strategies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of passenger‑rights legislation and national variations.
• Draft legal documents, correspondence, and case summaries with high accuracy.
• Support ad‑hoc legal projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Law degree with a strong background in commercial litigation, air passenger rights, or consumer law.
• Proactive, self‑motivated attitude and ability to work independently.
• Excellent organisational, planning and record‑keeping abilities.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Required skills

• Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) and fluency in either Italian or German; additional European languages are a plus.
• Outstanding drafting and legal writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
