Legal Counsel – Corporate & Products (6‑month contract)

About the role

This 6‑month contractual position supports the Managing Counsel and Senior Corporate Counsel within the Products and Services Legal Team of RBC Caribbean Banking. You will provide legal advice on a wide range of banking products and help manage regulatory and reputational risks across the Caribbean region.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, research and advise on everyday banking products, mortgages, auto financing, lending products, employee banking programmes and insurance.
• Serve as principal legal advisor for physical channel initiatives and marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate with Products & Marketing on pricing, risk assessments and regulatory compliance.
• Assist senior counsel and other business units with secondary legal support, including wealth solutions, investment products and consumer protection investigations.
• Develop self‑service tools, deliver training and monitor legal/regulatory changes across ten Caribbean jurisdictions.
• Provide solution‑oriented, cost‑effective legal advice and partner with business stakeholders on critical projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent law degree from a recognized law school.
