Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team in Palma de Mallorca. You will be the first point of contact for guest repair requests and will ensure that all facilities and equipment operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate solutions promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, mechanical‑room systems and building utilities.
• Inspect, lubricate, and clean equipment; identify and operate shut‑off valves.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and document daily activities for shift hand‑overs.
• Carry out minor painting, drywall, wood‑trim repairs, and replace light bulbs, A/C filters, and other consumables.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic/electronic, and landscaping systems.
• Program TVs, update air‑handler schedules, and perform general housekeeping‑related inventory duties.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting hazards or incidents immediately.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic, carpentry, and general building systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb unassisted and perform physical tasks safely.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and strong guest‑service orientation.
• Effective communication in English and ability to work collaboratively with shift teams.
