Market Associate - Host Retention and Growth

About the role

Airbnb's Supply Team in Barcelona is looking for a Market Associate to join its community. This is a hybrid position based in the Barcelona office. You will focus on the retention, growth and optimization of long-tail host entrepreneurs and rising hosts in your assigned territory, building strong relationships and helping them optimize listings, pricing and their overall success on the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a book of business of host entrepreneurs and rising hosts, ensuring their retention, growth and optimization on Airbnb.
• Run one-on-one optimization and onboarding conversations, giving advice on pricing, availability and listing quality.
• Help secure availability over high-compression dates so hosts can maximize revenue.
• Educate hosts on product updates and policy changes, and pass their feedback to internal teams.
• Answer host inquiries and give timely, high-quality support.
• Analyze performance data to spot trends and act on opportunities that increase bookings and host success.
• Support Market Managers in delivering one-to-many education programs such as webinars and scaled e-mail communication.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in new sales, account management or partner support.
• 2+ years of hospitality or travel industry experience (nice to have).
• Proven experience managing a book of business and driving engagement and growth through proactive account management.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (mandatory); fluency in Portuguese is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong time management and prioritization, able to handle multiple accounts.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, by phone, email and in person.
• CRM tools, especially working with leads and opportunities; Salesforce experience is a plus.

What we offer

• Annual pay range in Spain of 40,000 to 46,000 EUR, depending on experience and other factors.
