Material Solution and IP Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Material Solution and IP Engineer in Getafe (Madrid). The role researches and analyses spares planning and logistics data and turns the findings into profitable contracts for Initial Provisioning, Customized Spares Logistics and Customized Lead-Time. It also develops proposals to improve customers' processes and supply chains.

Key responsibilities

• Define and optimise Initial Provisioning (IPL) and Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSPL), calculate and consolidate the cost base and prepare the bidding dossiers.
• Optimise the available material data and prepare the documentation for the material solution definition.
• Take part in Eurodrone supplier selection and analyse material services parts and contributions.
• Use knowledge of aircraft configuration systems to build customised spare parts lists according to customer and ADS requirements.
• Represent ADS before the customer at Initial Provisioning and generate all supporting documentation.
• Align materiel services aspects with their performance and functions across Airbus, partner companies, suppliers and nations.
• Generate and continuously improve the data and assumptions used for spares modelling.

Required profile

• Aeronautical or industrial engineering degree, or a related discipline.
• 2-5 years of experience in MRO, design or manufacturing.
• Advanced English.
• High adaptability to new topics, new business and networking.
• Nice to have: experience with spares dimension tools and knowledge of ADS products.

Required skills

• Aircraft maintenance knowledge and familiarity with technical manuals.
• Microsoft Excel.
