Mechanical Design Engineer – Madrid

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Madrid team. You will support sales proposals, lead design activities, and ensure successful delivery of mechanical solutions for railway and energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support during sales and proposal stages.
• Participate in internal and customer project kick‑off meetings.
• Review tender documentation against specifications, company standards, and cost calculations.
• Coordinate and conduct site surveys, including international travel when required.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive mechanical engineering designs for assigned projects.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing documentation to support production.
• Support production with functional testing and customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Assist the Project Manager during customer reviews and design approvals.
• Prepare and coordinate technical responses to customer inquiries.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in energy transmission, distribution, or special‑purpose industrial machinery.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Fluent English; additional languages (Spanish, French, German, Portuguese) are a plus.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Ability to work autonomously within a team.
