Mobile Engineer Intern - Two Dots

About the role

Socialpoint, a mobile game studio known for titles such as Dragon City, Two Dots, Top Troops and Monster Legends, is looking for a Mobile Engineer Intern to join its Game Development team. You will work alongside senior developers on internal game development tools and libraries and help improve the efficiency of the game production pipeline. The work is hands-on engineering with real ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve internal libraries together with other teams.
• Implement scoped tasks end to end, from understanding the problem to delivering a reviewed, tested solution.
• Write short technical design documents before implementing.
• Profile, debug and optimize on real iOS and Android devices.
• Work on third-party integrations and platform-specific functionality.
• Improve technical documentation and training resources.
• Collaborate with colleagues from different teams and keep them informed of progress and blockers.
• Take part in code reviews, giving and receiving direct feedback.

Required profile

• Strong C# and programming fundamentals: data structures, algorithms and object-oriented design.
• Proficiency in Unity3D, shown by at least one complete project (published or in a readable repository).
• Working knowledge of computer math (vectors, matrices, quaternions) and 2D/3D graphics.
• Effective debugging: finding root causes rather than patching symptoms.
• Disciplined coding habits and awareness of industry best practices.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a group of senior developers.

Required skills

• C# and Unity3D
• Bonus: experience building and running your own app or game on iOS and/or Android
• Bonus: performance analysis tools (Unity Profiler, Xcode Instruments, Android Studio Profiler)
• Bonus: third-party SDK integration, and knowledge of Swift/Objective-C or Kotlin/Java
