Motor Claims Officer

About the role

The Motor Claims Officer independently manages routine to moderately complex motor insurance claims, ensuring compliance with company policies and delivering professional service to customers and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers, responding promptly to queries.
• Liaise with the Customer Service Department to log and manage complaints in a timely manner.
• Provide timely feedback to customers and support company customer‑care initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and SOPs, including collection and verification of KYC documentation.
• Inspect vehicles, take photographs, and assess damage.
• Appoint loss adjusters, investigators, or other personnel and review their reports.
• Research and analyze information to determine coverage, liability, and quantum for routine to moderately complex claims.
• Negotiate settlement terms within delegated authority and manage claim reserves.
• Conduct regular reviews of claim files, keeping status information up to date.
• Handle queries from insureds, attorneys, service providers, agents, and brokers, escalating complex matters as needed.

• Ability to work independently and manage claims from inception to settlement.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, adjusters, and internal teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and SOPs.
• Professional approach to handling complaints and delivering customer service.
