Part-Time Hybrid Pharmacist

About the role

Medical Innovations Limited, a specialist healthcare distributor of orthopedic and neurology products headquartered in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, is hiring a part-time hybrid Pharmacist. The role involves reviewing and interpreting prescriptions, ensuring safe and accurate dispensing of medications and related products, and providing clear counseling to patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret prescriptions and ensure safe, accurate dispensing of medications and orthopedic and neurology products.
• Provide clear counseling to patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals.
• Contribute to quality assurance and compliance with local and regional regulations.
• Support ongoing education on new therapies and devices in the company's portfolio.

Required profile

• Licensed Pharmacist in Trinidad and Tobago with a recognized degree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
• Strong clinical knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics and medication safety, ideally with exposure to orthopedics, neurology or related specialties.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, surgeons, nurses and other staff while maintaining professional communication.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations, pharmacy standards and best practices for storage, handling and distribution of medical products.
• Comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment and managing competing priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in prescription review, medication dispensing and patient counseling.
• Pharmacy and inventory management software, electronic records and basic office productivity tools.
• Attention to detail and documentation.
