Payroll Specialist (EMEA)

About the role

IFF is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join its Food Ingredients business unit in Asturias, Spain. The specialist supports accurate, compliant and timely payroll operations across the EMEA region and acts as the primary payroll subject matter expert, reporting to the Regional Payroll Manager EMEA. The position is part of the Food Ingredients business unit, which is expected to be sold to CVC Capital Partners by the first half of 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Manage payroll administration and day-to-day payroll operations for a cluster of EMEA countries.
• Coordinate payroll inputs, processing, validations and outputs with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Validate payroll data, statutory calculations, social contributions, payroll reporting and country-specific outputs.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, Total Rewards, Shared Services and regional payroll leadership on payroll matters.
• Support payroll continuity and Day 1 readiness during the transition to a standalone organization, and help stabilize and improve payroll processes across EMEA.

Required profile

• Demonstrated payroll experience, including payroll operations in France, Spain and the UK.
• Experience in unionized, labor-intensive or employee-representative environments, with collective bargaining agreements, works councils or similar bodies.
• Experience with outsourced payroll providers and strong controls, compliance and problem-solving.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong business English; fluency in French is preferred.

Required skills

• Preferred: experience with ADP, TMF, Workday or similar payroll and HR platforms.
• Preferred: experience with carve-outs, business separations, M&A or transformation projects, and multi-country payroll models.
