PBX Operator

About the role

The PBX Operator will manage the hotel’s switchboard, ensuring all incoming calls are answered promptly and professionally. This role supports guests, internal departments, and external callers while upholding the brand’s high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls with clear articulation and offer assistance to internal and external callers.
• Transfer calls accurately to the appropriate departments or guest rooms, ensuring smooth connections.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel services, promotions, and policies to assist guests effectively.
• Provide information about hotel facilities to guests and outside callers.
• Protect privacy of communications in line with MOHG standards.
• Report any suspicious occurrences or hazardous conditions.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Front Office Manager.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar PBX or switchboard role is preferred.
• Effective communication skills in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness and flexibility to work in day, afternoon, and night shifts.
• Well‑groomed appearance adhering to the hotel’s grooming standards.

Required skills

• Basic IT skills with solid knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiarity with hotel management systems such as HMS, Opera, Fidelio, or similar PMS.
