Power Platform Architect

About the role

Roche is looking for a Microsoft Power Platform Architect in Madrid. You will guide the platform team in making the platform available to the wider enterprise, so that citizen developers and federated application teams can create business value. You will turn organizational goals into a technical roadmap for a secure, compliant and scalable low-code ecosystem, set up governance frameworks and best practices, and design automated administration of the platform using AI.

Key responsibilities

• Treat platform services as internal products with clear documentation, lifecycle management and stakeholder feedback loops.
• Design and document shared platform components (CI/CD, observability, DLP policies) and create proofs of concept, reference implementations, automation scripts and platform tooling.
• Follow Microsoft's Power Platform roadmap and low-code, no-code and AI trends to spot opportunities and challenges.
• Take ownership of ambiguous tasks and drive small to medium platform-level initiatives, such as deploying the CoE Starter Kit or other automations.
• Communicate with stakeholders, lead the platform team, socialize the platform internally and represent it in architect communities.
• Mentor developers, share knowledge at internal events and record decisions in architecture decision records.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience designing, developing and managing Power Platform at global enterprise scale.
• Experience treating platform services as internal products, including governance and operational stability.
• Experience integrating third-party or cloud-native services under strict security and architectural standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a regulated industry and leading or supporting a community of practice.

Required skills

• Power Apps (Canvas/Model-driven), Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages and Copilot Studio.
• Terraform, Power Platform Build Tools for Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and PowerShell automation.
• Entra ID (Azure AD), Dataverse architecture and API management.
• Platform security (DLP, encryption, access controls), networking (on-premises data gateways) and observability tools.
