Primary School Teacher

About the role

The International Schools is looking for a teacher to plan, deliver and assess high-quality learning experiences for primary school students. The role fosters their academic, social, emotional and personal development in a safe, inclusive and engaging environment, implementing the school curriculum in line with the school's mission, vision and values.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and oversee the primary academic program, ensuring effective delivery of the curriculum and pedagogical methods, and promote student-centered teaching.
• Analyze academic results and set up continuous improvement plans.
• Coordinate, mentor and evaluate the primary teaching team, identify professional development needs, lead pedagogical meetings, and take part in recruiting and inducting new teachers.
• Oversee students' academic, social and emotional progress, implement support for students with specific learning needs, manage behaviour and wellbeing, and maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
• Maintain timely communication with parents, take part in parent meetings and conferences, and follow up on concerns.
• Prepare academic and performance reports, coordinate timetables, assessments and school activities, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Primary Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or license as required by local regulations.
• At least X years of teaching experience in primary education.
• Experience in bilingual or international schools is an advantage.
• Commitment to safeguarding, diversity, equity and inclusion, and to continuous professional development.
