Primary Teacher

About the role

The British School of Málaga is looking for a Primary Teacher to plan, deliver and assess high-quality learning experiences for primary school students. The teacher fosters academic, social, emotional and personal development in a safe, inclusive and engaging environment, implementing the school curriculum in line with the school's mission, vision and values.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and oversee the primary academic program, ensuring effective delivery of the curriculum and student-centered teaching
• Analyze academic results and set up continuous improvement plans
• Coordinate, mentor and evaluate the primary teaching team, lead pedagogical meetings and help recruit and induct new staff
• Monitor students' academic, social and emotional progress, support students with specific learning needs and manage behaviour and wellbeing
• Maintain timely communication with parents, take part in parent meetings and follow up on concerns
• Prepare academic and performance reports, coordinate timetables, assessments and school activities, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Primary Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification or license as required by local regulations
• Minimum of X years of teaching experience in primary education
• Experience in bilingual or international schools is an advantage
• All post holders must undergo vetting, including an online due diligence check, references and criminal background checks covering the last 10 years
