Process Intelligence & Analytics Specialist

About the role

ABB is hiring a Process Intelligence & Analytics Specialist in Madrid, reporting to the Global IS Process Intelligence Manager. The role works within the Information Services (IS) Core function globally and uses process intelligence across Information Systems and Corporate Functions to find inefficiencies, optimise processes and enable automation at scale. It also contributes to the foundation for agentic AI by building robust process semantics and a fact-based understanding of how processes work end-to-end. The work model is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end process analysis to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and automation opportunities across Corporate Functions.
• Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand needs, challenge assumptions and co-create high-impact use cases.
• Translate business needs into actionable use cases and deliver data-driven recommendations with measurable business value.
• Build and maintain process semantics and data foundations for scalable, reusable process intelligence.
• Structure process knowledge into machine-interpretable logic and decision frameworks to lay the foundation for agentic AI.
• Design, implement and scale process intelligence use cases, and promote their adoption as a strategic capability.

Required profile

• Solid education in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Proven track record of 2+ years turning complex data into measurable business outcomes through process mining, advanced analytics, AI or process optimization.
• Comfortable working across the full value chain, from data engineering to influencing stakeholders and senior management.
• Fluency in English (C1) and a valid Spanish work permit.

Required skills

• Data and analytics technologies, including Snowflake, SQL, Python, Celonis, Signavio or equivalents.
• Experience with IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow, SAP or Salesforce; ITIL v4 certification is a plus.
• Machine Learning and GenAI experience is a plus.
