Processing Officer – Retail Collections (1-year contract)

About the role

The Processing Officer (Early Stage Agent) will manage retail collection accounts that are in low‑risk delinquency buckets, covering loans, credit cards and mortgages. You will use sound judgment to cure accounts, meet KPIs and maintain a positive client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Collect all retail collection accounts assigned to the low‑risk stage delinquency buckets.
• Gather necessary information through direct telephone contact with clients.
• Use RBC systems to search, dial and place account holds when required.
• Maintain accurate client documentation and diary dates in the collections system.
• Process work volumes and contact clients according to service quality standards.
• Deliver administrative duties promptly and ensure meaningful content.
• Provide professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, resolving issues at source.
• Exercise good judgment balancing risk and client experience while working in a team environment.

Required profile

• HAVO education plus at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in bank reconciliation processes.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite, with solid keyboarding skills.
• Experience with bank technology such as RIBS, T24, Oracle, Outlook and Secure Web.
• Familiarity with credit management and recoveries platforms.
• Basic understanding of lending, securities, credit fundamentals and delinquency management.
