Product Design Lead

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is looking for a Product Design Lead in Madrid to own design quality and team growth for one of its core product areas. The role works with a team of product designers, focusing on consumer-facing products with some partner-facing surfaces. The lead steps in on the hardest design problems rather than carrying a delivery workload.

Key responsibilities

• Tackle the most ambiguous or high-stakes design problems and turn them into clear direction for the team
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership on trade-offs across squads and designers
• Set the standard for design quality and help the team build that judgment
• Run regular design reviews, mentor designers on craft and problem framing, and support their performance and growth
• Promote measurable outcomes, better requirements and higher-quality critique
• Act as the design voice in cross-functional discussions on quality, scope and timeline
• Ensure the team designs with reusable components and scalable patterns, and propose improvements to shared components and documentation

Required profile

• Extensive product design experience, including as a design lead managing a team
• Deep experience in consumer-facing (B2C) design; B2B or partner-facing experience is a plus
• Track record of raising a quality bar under stakeholder pressure and of shipping work with a team of high-performing designers
• Comfortable working close to hard problems without owning a delivery pipeline
• Experience in agile, cross-functional squads with Product and Engineering
• Fluent English; Spanish is a bonus

• Strong systems thinking and experience contributing to or evolving a design system
