Product Design Lead

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is looking for a Product Design Lead in Barcelona to own design quality and team growth for one of its core product areas. The role works with a team of product designers, focusing on the hardest design problems rather than a delivery workload.

Key responsibilities

• Tackle the most ambiguous or high-stakes design problems, turn them into clear direction for the team, and partner with Product and Engineering leadership on trade-offs.
• Set the standard for design quality and help the team build that judgment, including through regular design reviews and mentoring on craft and problem framing.
• Hold the line on performance, growth and career development, and balance time between the team's hardest problems and day-to-day support.
• Promote measurable outcomes, better requirements and higher-quality critique, and act as the design voice in cross-functional discussions.
• Ensure the team designs with reusable components and scalable patterns, reducing UX debt and collaborating with engineers to protect system integrity.

Required profile

• Extensive product design experience, including as a design lead managing a team of designers.
• Deep experience in consumer-facing (B2C) product design; B2B or partner-facing experience is a plus.
• Track record of raising a quality bar under stakeholder pressure and of shipping work while managing a team.
• Experience in agile, cross-functional squads with Product and Engineering.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a bonus.

Required skills

• Strong systems thinking and experience contributing to or evolving a design system.
• Bonus: experience in the entertainment or events industry.
