Product Manager - Medium Voltage Static Frequency Converters

About the role

Hitachi Energy Spain is looking for a Product Manager for medium voltage static frequency converters (SFCs) within a global product management team. The role is accountable for the long-term profitable growth and marketing of the SFC offering to target market segments, managing the portfolio through its life cycle phases in line with market needs, business strategy and targets. The portfolio covers industrial and railway applications, with modular converter platforms, advanced control systems, digital monitoring and safety mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the entire product life cycle, including hardware and software
• Lead market intelligence analysis to identify trends, opportunities and competitive positioning
• Define and maintain the portfolio roadmap, including new developments, enhancements and phase-outs
• Prioritize and oversee product development with cross-functional teams
• Define value propositions per segment and channel to support marketing and product launches
• Improve product management processes and tools such as configurators, training and lifecycle management
• Drive cross-functional innovation and give input to R&D on patents and intellectual property

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Postgraduate qualification in Marketing, Strategy or Business (e.g. MBA) preferred
• 5-10 years of experience in product marketing, product management or product technology in a technology-based organization
• Ideal locations are Madrid or Milan; other European countries may be considered

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of industrial hardware and software development
• Familiarity with the medium voltage market, customers, competition and standards preferred
• Ability to influence and work with cross-functional, cross-cultural teams across geographies and time zones
• Fluency in English
