Product Owner Business Analytics

About the role

Sulzer is looking for a Product Owner Business Analytics to join its team in Madrid. The role helps shape the company's data and analytics landscape, turning data into reliable, AI-ready assets that let teams make better decisions through self-service analytics. It sits between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving analytics solutions for financial, manufacturing and supply chain performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable business intelligence and analytics solutions aligned with business needs.
• Translate business requirements into data products and reporting solutions.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of KPI dashboards and analytical applications.
• Manage and enhance curated data products across several business domains.
• Work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, KPIs and success measures.
• Ensure data quality, transparency and integrity across analytics platforms.
• Analyse complex datasets to find trends, opportunities and insights.
• Automate reporting processes and support AI-enabled analytics and decision-support tools.
• Contribute to data governance and guide business users on analytics tools.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence or a related field.
• Experience building KPI frameworks and data models across multiple domains.
• Ability to turn business requirements into technical solutions and to work independently with limited supervision.
• Preferred: interest in emerging AI technologies, international and cross-functional experience, Agile (Scrum or Kanban) knowledge, and familiarity with data governance standards.

Required skills

• Modern data platforms such as Snowflake.
• Data transformation and modelling tools such as DBT.
• Visualization tools such as Power BI or Qlik Sense.
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.
