Professional Services & End User Services Intern

About the role

NetApp is hiring an intern for its Madrid-based Professional Services team, with a customer-facing focus on End User Services (EUS). The role combines hands-on technical work on systems-oriented projects linking the cloud to the data center with desktop and end-user support. You will help maintain relationships with internal business customers (and sometimes external ones), contribute to departmental goals and work alongside senior engineers in the IT International team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the lab and demo systems used for post-sales activities, set up new environments and control the stock of parts and demo systems.
• Take part in professional services projects and learn how to deploy and administer NetApp storage solutions.
• Work on the design, implementation and verification of systems and subsystems.
• Support the development and testing activities of other engineers, including work across several interdependencies.
• Provide desktop support: troubleshoot business systems and software issues and resolve user problems proactively.
• Support the purchasing of IT equipment, mobile communications and internal events.
• Collaborate with the local IT team and the EMEA IT teams, supporting other countries when required.
• Explore new technology trends and products, such as DevOps tools, and investigate their application to NetApp's business.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish (C1 or C2); Catalan or Portuguese is a plus.
• Background in Linux/Unix systems and IP networking.
• Knowledge of DevOps technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins and Ansible.
• Proactive aptitude for learning new technologies and a creative approach to problem solving.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at once, and to work well both within a team and independently.
