Staff Product Design Engineer — Data

About the role

Fever is a global live-entertainment discovery platform that helps people find experiences in their cities, and its Data and AI team is growing a group of Design Engineers. This Staff Product Design Engineer role is remote and spans B2C and B2B products, from polished designs to code shipped by the designer.

Key responsibilities

• Work on high-impact projects such as discovery surfaces (feed and AI-powered assistant), partner and internal data tools, immersive funnels and other product initiatives.
• Frame problems with users and product managers, decide what to build and validate hypotheses with data (SQL, dashboards, metrics).
• Design and prototype interfaces for Fever products with a high standard of craft.
• Take designs into code when appropriate, from prototypes to production features, working with engineers through GitHub and development and production environments.
• Use AI as part of everyday workflow to explore ideas and prototype faster.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in product design, with a strong background in front-end development.
• Product thinker: understands building products from user problems, business needs and impact, and can explain trade-offs.
• Polished design craft, shown in a portfolio that explains the thinking behind the work.
• Comfortable with SQL, dashboards and metrics; loves technology and wants to understand the why behind things.
• Adopts AI with judgment: verifies outputs, protects sensitive data and does not ship code they do not understand.
• A portfolio is required; applications without one will not be considered.
• Nice to have: experience designing data-heavy products or building with LLMs, and side projects.

Required skills

• Solid HTML/CSS, responsive layouts and design systems.
• JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern framework such as React.
• Git, pull requests and dev/prod environments.
