Project Manager - Cosmetics & Personal Care

About the role

Evonik is looking for a Project Manager in Barcelona to lead and manage cross-product line projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets and deliverables are met with a high level of quality. The role coordinates different departments such as Applied Innovation and production across the company's business units in strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project timelines, budgets and resources to ensure successful project completion.
• Develop project plans and schedules and monitor progress against them.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Applied Innovation, regulatory, engineering and manufacturing.
• Identify and manage project risks and develop contingency plans.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide regular project updates to senior management.

Required profile

• University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Nanotechnology or a related area; Master's or preferably PhD, and technicians with a Bachelor's degree and more than 5 years of experience may also be considered.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Experience working with intercultural and cross-functional teams and ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Required skills

• Profound knowledge of colloidal chemistry and nanotechnology, preferably in the research and production of delivery systems and surfactants.
• Profound knowledge of laboratory and production-scale equipment used for emulsions and delivery system technologies.
• Profound knowledge of cosmetic and pharmaceutical delivery system technologies.
• Knowledge of cosmetics applications, cosmetic actives and personal care is a plus.
• Knowledge of project management software and tools.
