Project Manager - International Digital & IT Projects

About the role

Drees & Sommer is looking for a Project Manager for internal and external international digital projects in Málaga. The role covers end-to-end delivery of complex digital and IT projects across several countries, business units and external partners, requiring strong project ownership, stakeholder management and the ability to deliver successfully in an international, cross-functional setting.

Key responsibilities

• Own international digital and IT projects from initiation through delivery and closure
• Lead estimation and planning, and define scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, resources and deliverables
• Lead cross-functional and international teams and communicate with stakeholders, including senior management, across cultures
• Set up project governance and report transparently on progress, finances, risks and decisions
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies and changes, and manage project finances and resource requirements
• Manage external vendors and implementation partners, and coordinate go-live, transition to operations and project closure

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, IT or a comparable field
• At least 5 years of project management experience, ideally in international digital or IT projects
• Proven experience with complex, cross-functional projects and international stakeholders
• Ability to structure and drive complex projects independently with limited supervision
• C1-level English required; Spanish and/or German are an advantage

Required skills

• Knowledge of project governance, scope, financial, risk, change and resource management
• Experience working with external vendors and implementation partners
• PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA or comparable certification is an advantage
