Project Manager – Space Missions

About the role

Indra Space is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end space missions such as CASSINI, LEOPNT Pathfinder B, ICARUS, and DRACO. You will work in a hybrid model from our Madrid office, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring successful delivery of satellite projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives and deliverables aligned with client and organisational goals.
• Plan, monitor and control project schedule, budget and resources.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure contractual compliance.
• Coordinate engineering, operations and quality‑assurance teams across international stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with ESA regulations, space industry standards and mission requirements.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Prepare bid proposals, negotiate contracts and manage Contract Change Notices (CCNs).
• Lead technical reviews and drive continuous improvement in project management processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in aerospace, defence or space programmes.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary projects with international partners.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and availability to work in a hybrid model in Madrid.
• Strong stakeholder communication and client‑facing skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of space systems (satellites, ground control, mission operations).
• Familiarity with ESA standards and the space programme lifecycle.
• Understanding of system‑engineering principles and technical documentation.
• Experience with contractual processes, procurement and CCN negotiations.
