QA Engineer (Hybrid) - Madrid

About the role

Colliers is looking for an experienced QA Engineer for its newly established Technology Hub in Madrid. As part of the founding team, you will help shape the hub's culture, practices and technical direction in a hybrid (remote and onsite) setting. The role works closely with international Product, Engineering, DevOps, Data, QA and Architecture teams to deliver high-quality, reliable and scalable enterprise software for commercial real estate.

Key responsibilities

• Create a reusable automation testing framework and maintain automated test suites for frontend, backend and API layers using tools such as Cypress, Playwright and Postman
• Embed tests in CI/CD pipelines and set up quality gates with DevOps and Engineering Operations
• Drive test-first development with unit, integration and performance testing, and support root cause analysis of production issues
• Help define coding standards, documentation and software lifecycle best practices
• Guide the selection of QA tools (test management, performance testing, Storybook integration) and standardize test environments and data management
• Reduce test flakiness, support parallel execution and use Figma and user stories to guide test cases
• Take part in design and code reviews, improve agile practices and share quality insights across teams
• Ensure compliance with global standards, information security policies and regulatory requirements

Required profile

• 3+ years in a QA or software testing role, with a strong background in test automation
• Hands-on experience with frontend and end-to-end testing frameworks
• Agile experience (Scrum/Kanban), including story estimation, code reviews and pair programming
• Experience in distributed or remote teams and with Jira, GitHub, Miro and Azure DevOps
• Fluent in English and Spanish

Required skills

• Testing React, TypeScript and .NET applications
• API testing with Postman or Cypress, including automated API tests
• CI/CD integration with Azure DevOps or similar
• Preferred: performance and security testing tools, ISO27001/GDPR/SOC2 knowledge, DDD and event-driven architecture exposure
