Quality Aircraft Manager (Temporary)

About the role

A temporary Quality Aircraft Manager position is open within the Quality MRO team of Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The role ensures that operational processes comply with quality assurance requirements and standards, and supports the company's certifications and interfaces with external quality authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure operational processes comply with the Quality Management System and quality plan, and provide evidence of conformity to Programme Quality Assurance and external authorities.
• Devise and validate the control and inspection plan for hardware, software and services, and monitor conformity and attestation status.
• Handle non-conformances: analyse deviations, monitor corrective and preventive actions, and contribute to improving quality standards.
• Analyse process and in-service performance data to detect early variations and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis.
• In new product, process or service development, ensure early lessons learned and risk analysis, and follow a rigorous development plan.
• Implement prevention means such as APQP and DFMEA, and ensure software and data integrity and verification/validation for software and data.
• If applicable, carry out supplier development and surveillance, and support certifications and interfaces with bodies such as ISO, IAQG and EASA.

Required profile

• Aeronautical or industrial engineering degree or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in quality.
• Experience in managing people and conflicts.
• Advanced level of English and Spanish.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to propose new ideas.
