Quality Engineer – 1 Year Fixed-Term

About the role

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), a global medical technology company, is hiring a Quality Engineer for a one-year fixed-term position in Fraga, Spain, within its current engineering team reporting to the Quality Supervisor. The post covers daily quality monitoring, sampling and inspection procedures, quality improvement projects and support for key plant projects, with the possibility of permanent continuation after the term ends.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze data, metrics and trends
• Manage and take part in corrective actions, root-cause investigations and problem-solving sessions
• Prepare training materials and deliver training
• Handle customer complaints
• Coordinate and take part in validating processes, equipment and measurement methods
• Develop and run functional tests of medical devices

Required profile

• University degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Biology, Biotechnology or related fields
• Minimum English level B2, used daily in meetings, teleconferences and audits
• Proactive, results-oriented and able to work in multidisciplinary teams

Required skills

• Nice to have: ISO 9000 and/or ISO 13485 knowledge
• Nice to have: GMP and medical device regulatory requirements
• Nice to have: SAP, programming tools such as macros and Power BI, Six Sigma and Lean
• Nice to have: root cause analysis and process validation experience

Salary range: EUR 30,000 to 34,000.
