Quality Engineer – 1 Year (Medical Devices)

About the role

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), a global medical technology company, is hiring a Quality Engineer for a one-year position in Fraga, Spain, within its current engineering team reporting to the Quality Supervisor. The post covers daily quality monitoring, improvement of sampling and inspection procedures, quality system improvement projects and support of key plant projects. The position is temporary, with the possibility of becoming permanent after completion.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze data, metrics and trends
• Manage and take part in corrective actions, root cause investigations and problem-solving sessions
• Prepare training materials and deliver training
• Handle customer complaints
• Coordinate and take part in validation of processes, equipment and measurement methods
• Develop and run functional tests of medical devices

Required profile

• University degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Biology, Biotechnology or related fields
• Minimum English level B2, used daily in meetings, teleconferences and audits
• Decisive, proactive, results-oriented and able to work in multidisciplinary teams

Required skills

• Nice to have: knowledge of ISO 9000 and/or ISO 13485
• Nice to have: GMP and medical device regulatory requirements
• Nice to have: SAP, programming tools such as macros and Power BI
• Nice to have: Six Sigma and Lean, root cause analysis, process validation experience

Salary range: EUR 30,000 to 34,000.
