Regional Coordination Committee Representative (RCC)

About the role

Maersk is recruiting a Regional Coordination Committee (RCC) Representative to represent its interests at regional level within Gemini, coordinating with Gemini Partners on operational matters. The role acts as the first point of entry for disputes on vessel allocation, scheduling, network execution, contingencies, non-compliance with the agreement and crisis management, and escalates to the HQ Network Committee when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Maersk's interests within Gemini at regional level through coordination and communication with Gemini Partners on operational matters.
• Act as first line of escalation with partner Cargo, schedules and berthing optimization across services within and across regions, and as first level of escalation for shut-outs, port emissions and cargo issues, with a regional overview of cases and coordination of resolutions internally and externally.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert on Joint Working Procedures (JWPs), ensuring correct interpretation and application through consultation with Ocean Fulfillment and Coastal Fulfillment teams.
• Take regional ownership of contingency handbooks and seasonal contingency negotiations with the Partner.
• Manage exceptions and partner relationships from a regional and global perspective, working closely with the Global Execution Center and other RCCs for consistent management practices.
• Support Regional/HQ Finance on schedule reliability and short shipment penalty schemes with HPL, and on schedule deviation verifications.
• Escalate disputes to the HQ Network Committee when required.

Required profile

• Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions, and to adjust strategy quickly in changing conditions.
• Strong, cooperative relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Deep understanding of company operations and product offerings.
