Regional IT Application Analyst

About the role

Gategroup is looking for a Regional IT Application Analyst in Madrid to support and optimize regional business applications and related processes. The role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, turning business requirements into effective IT solutions while ensuring applications meet business needs and support data-driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support for regional applications, coordinating with IT teams and vendors to resolve incidents and implement changes according to standards and SLAs.
• Analyze workflows with business stakeholders, identify gaps and propose improvements.
• Gather, document and validate business requirements, and support development teams in implementing and testing solutions.
• Maintain data accuracy, develop reports and dashboards, and ensure data integrity.
• Prepare and run test plans, including user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Create user guides, process documentation and knowledge base materials, and train and support end users.
• Support application projects and stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT application support, business analysis or related roles.
• Experience managing or supporting regional or local business applications.
• Fluent English (written and verbal); additional regional languages are an asset.

Required skills

• ITIL, CBAP or PMP/Prince2 certification is advantageous.
• Knowledge of business process modeling and improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma) is an advantage.
• Experience with data management, reporting tools, process documentation and project environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, collaboration across teams, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
