Repo Trader - Analyst

About the role

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is looking for a Securities Finance Repo Trader Analyst to join its front‑office trading desk in Boadilla del Monte, Madrid. The role provides exposure to European Government Bond repo markets, working closely with trading, sales and other internal teams to meet financing and liquidity needs.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and manage short‑term repo transactions across European Government Bonds, including General Collateral and Specials.
• Provide market levels and pricing indications in response to requests from sales and internal stakeholders.
• Support sales teams in client activity, responding efficiently to market requests.
• Contribute to the identification of financing and relative‑value opportunities.
• Collaborate with trading, risk, and middle‑office functions to ensure proper risk management.

Required profile

• Open to candidates from diverse financial‑market backgrounds such as sales, risk, middle‑office or related functions.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, global market environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and proactive approach to risk management.
