Reporting & Controlling Accounting Manager

About the role

Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for a Reporting & Controlling Accounting Manager in Barcelona. You will lead a team of 5-6 Accountant Controllers and report to the Director of Accounting and Reporting, owning the timeliness and quality of Glovo's financial reporting to Delivery Hero and strengthening the control environment around the financial close.

Key responsibilities

• Own the global month-end close and monthly reporting to Delivery Hero (TB, KPIs and FTEs), meeting deadlines and quality standards
• Review IFRS financial statements of Glovo subsidiaries and group-level consolidation, fixing inconsistencies before they reach stakeholders
• Design and implement controls over the financial close using a risk and control matrix approach, rolled out in phases
• Partner with corporate and local accounting teams on month-end close, controls and coaching, mapping process gaps and redesigning processes
• Define RACI models and embed the redesigned processes so the team has controls to verify they work as intended
• Lead projects on presentation and disclosure, IFRS treatment of reporting standards and the refinement of the reporting tool (OneStream), and support HQ-led initiatives such as IFRS, ERP and reporting package implementations
• Coach and develop the team and act as the main point of contact for Delivery Hero, the Finance Performance team and local finance teams on financial reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in accounting, reporting and consolidation, or financial controlling, ideally in a multinational environment
• Fluent English; Big 4 experience followed by a role in accounting, reporting and controlling or internal audit is a plus
• Proven experience leading teams in a corporate environment

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and consolidation, and of risk and control matrices and process design
• Experience implementing processes, designing RACIs and managing projects
• Hands-on experience with financial reporting tools such as OneStream (SAP S/4HANA is a plus)
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace
