Retail Finance Business Partner

About the role

ING is looking for a Retail Finance Business Partner in Madrid to support the Retail business in ING Spain in reaching its commercial and financial targets. The role gives an end-to-end view of the business (income, pricing, expenses, balances, profitability and performance ratios), compares the long-term vision with current performance and market trends, and prepares regular financial updates for Product Leadership and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the link between Finance and the rest of the business, making sure the bank's strategy and financial ambition are shared by everyone.
• Analyse actual figures, understand income, expenses, risk costs and balance sheet developments, and forecast business developments with business leaders.
• Set mid-term budgets with clear targets and KPIs, and refine financial models continuously.
• Support strategic initiatives and pricing with ad hoc analyses and research, share insights, challenge performance and collaborate on new business proposals.
• Turn analyses into concise presentations and reports, and contribute to strategy papers, business performance monitoring and local committees (ALCO, Pricing).

Required profile

• Master's or bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience, preferably in banking and/or consulting.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Strong analytical skills, autonomy, problem-solving mindset and international working ability.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills, open to constructive feedback and curious about market trends.
