RTR Accountant (French Speaker)

About the role

Sulzer is looking for an RTR Accountant to join its Accounting team in Spain and help take its Record to Report (RTR) area to the next level. You will work across several countries and with stakeholders from Accounting, Reporting, Analytics, Country Finance Heads, Global Process Owners, as well as auditors and tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Support financial booking activities in line with IFRS and Sulzer regulations, and manage clearing, reconciliations and adjustments
• Maintain and update the chart of accounts and hierarchies, and support the Global Process Owner with system implementations
• Work with local finance teams and the Finance Shared Services / BPO provider so transactions are correctly recorded in the general ledger
• Support period-end close, including AR/AP subledger closing, general ledger closing, opening a new period and closing Asset Accounting
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis, and contribute to improving the RTR process
• Ensure financial internal controls are in place and follow through year-end closing tasks such as balance carry-forward and number range creation
• Support intercompany reconciliation in Coprocess and Tagetik

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
• 2-3 years of accounting experience focused on general ledger and financial reporting
• CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent certification preferred
• English and French proficiency required

Required skills

• ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or iScala) and accounting software
• MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Tagetik, Coprocess and Qlik Sense is a plus
