Sales Legal Intern

About the role

Cisco is looking for a Sales Legal Intern within its EMEA Sales Legal department in Madrid. As an intern, you will support a team where legal is seen as a business partner, in a supportive, collaborative and international environment. The role covers the legal implications of leading-edge technology, from commercial, antitrust and intellectual property to privacy, security and artificial intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with the legal and business teams.
• Support the drafting and negotiation of commercial and technology agreements for local and international customers.
• Take part in cross-functional and legal innovation projects, including the use of AI-powered tools to improve legal productivity.
• Receive training and learn from subject matter experts on topics such as IT, IP, competition, privacy and AI.
• Analyze legal issues and carry out research to answer queries from internal stakeholders or Cisco's customers.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Currently enrolled in a master's degree program, or having completed it.
• Strong interest in IP, privacy, security, IT and the legal frameworks surrounding technology.
• Ability to read and understand complex contract provisions.
• Knowledge of Spanish commercial contract and business law, as well as IP law.
• Aptitude for understanding industry practice on legal issues.
• Excellent communication skills, adaptability, fast learning and ability to work in a fast-paced, highly automated environment.

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge of German, Arabic or French.
• Previous legal working experience.
