SAP Basis and Performance Specialist

About the role

The SAP Basis and Performance Specialist will ensure Radisson’s SAP landscape remains simple, scalable, resilient and vendor‑agnostic. The role focuses on performance, availability and continuous improvement of SAP systems, while safeguarding production stability.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day technical health of SAP systems (S/4, BW, PO, etc.) and resolve performance bottlenecks across ABAP, HANA and integrations.
• Validate impact of ABAP developments, integrations and data‑volume changes, acting as the final technical gate before production.
• Monitor and optimise SAP HANA performance, manage data growth, archiving and partitioning strategies.
• Align SAP workloads with infrastructure sizing in hyperscaler/cloud environments and contribute to capacity planning and cost optimisation.
• Automate operational tasks, enhance observability with cloud‑based SAP tools, and support monitoring, reporting and deployments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on SAP migrations, upgrades, and the RHG 5‑year strategy, ensuring scalable and controlled delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing SAP Basis environments, including S/4, BW and PO.
• Strong understanding of ABAP code performance and production impact.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP HANA performance tuning and data‑volume management.
• Familiarity with cloud/hyperscaler platforms and automation of SAP operations.
• Ability to work closely with senior IT leadership and cross‑functional engineering teams.
