SAP Infrastructure and Hosting Specialist

About the role

Radisson Hotel Group is looking for a SAP Infrastructure and Hosting Specialist based in Madrid. The role keeps the SAP environment simple, scalable, resilient and vendor-agnostic, supporting the growth of 700 new properties and a large SAP/AWS infrastructure project portfolio. It works alongside the Cloud Director, SAP Operations Manager and the directors of IT and SAP and Service Management.

Key responsibilities

• Support the addition of 700 properties to the SAP/AWS landscape and help execute the RHG 5-year strategy, with scalable, controlled SAP migrations and cloud improvements
• Support upgrades, migrations and technical initiatives (S/4 upgrades, migrations, archiving) and define migration frameworks with partners
• Drive simplification and standardization of the SAP landscape and contribute to its evolution in hyperscaler/cloud environments
• Automate operational tasks (monitoring, reporting, deployments) and enhance observability with SAP-focused cloud tools, logging and SAP metrics integration
• Own the day-to-day technical health of SAP systems (S/4, BW, PO), proactively resolve performance bottlenecks in ABAP, HANA and integrations, and ensure stability during peak loads
• Validate the impact of ABAP developments, integrations and data volume changes, and act as the last technical resource before production
• Monitor and optimize HANA performance (CPU, memory, expensive statements, data growth) and support data volume management, archiving and partitioning strategies
• Align SAP workload with infrastructure sizing, contribute to capacity planning and cost optimization, and collaborate with internal teams, external partners and directors at director, Sr. Director and VP level

Required profile

• 8-12+ years of proven SAP Basis experience in complex enterprise environments
• 3+ years on hyperscaler environments (AWS preferred)
• Strong hands-on SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA database administration, preferably on AWS
• Deep knowledge of SAP Basis / NetWeaver architecture and administration
• Experience in international environments and collaboration with external providers and managed services
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field
• Relocation to Madrid is necessary; up to 20% travel, mainly Brussels

• SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Basis / NetWeaver, ABAP runtime behavior
• SAP performance analysis, troubleshooting and optimization
• Cloud platforms (AWS preferred); highly desirable: SAP Fiori, SAP PO, SAP BTP / CPI, SAP ASE, Bash/Python/PowerShell scripting, observability frameworks, SAP data volume management and archiving
• Professional spoken and written English
