SAP Inhouse Consultant FICO

About the role

Sulzer, a leading engineering company, is looking for an SAP Inhouse Consultant Finance & Controlling to join its IT team in Madrid. You will work on SAP projects and support the SAP ERP platforms in your area of expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to feasibility studies, understand business processes and requirements and create functional specifications for implementation
• Handle system build with hands-on configuration skills, and contribute to solution design and harmonization initiatives
• Resolve incidents and requests, and take part in problem management of strategic SAP platforms
• Assist with training of key users, prepare test cases and scripts and run integration testing
• Maintain user and system documentation and keep up to date with industry trends and best practices
• Ensure proper rollout of ERP projects in your area, including communication, training and master data management
• Manage finance-related projects and support SAP best practices across templates

Required profile

• Degree in technical or business studies, plus further SAP training or equivalent experience
• A strong portfolio of SAP Finance and Controlling consulting experience, especially Product Costing and Profitability Analysis
• Experience in Month and Year-end closing and reporting
• At least two successful SAP rollouts where you handled finance projects as specialist
• Knowledge of manufacturing industry and strong English communication skills
• Willingness to travel 25%

Required skills

• SAP Finance and Controlling, including Fixed Assets, Banking, AR, Credit Control, AP, Statutory, Indirect Tax and IFRS reporting
• Customizing finance modules and integration with SD and MM
• Month and year-end closing; knowledge of Schedule Manager or Closing Cockpit is a plus
• Experience with Basware is an advantage
