Scaled Accounts Manager – Openbank Pay

About the role

Openbank Pay, the new checkout lending platform of the Santander Group, is looking for a hands‑on Scaled Accounts Manager to lead the operational and commercial execution of its merchant portfolio across Europe. You will be responsible for driving growth, optimizing performance and ensuring seamless onboarding for small merchants.

Key responsibilities

• Execute acquisition, onboarding and activation initiatives for small merchants.
• Monitor merchant performance, implement corrective actions and support campaign roll‑outs.
• Coordinate onboarding processes with Operations and Tech, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Track volumes, margins, approval rates and risk indicators at the merchant level.
• Prepare structured reporting for the Director of Scaled Accounts.
• Contribute to automation, standardisation and process‑efficiency projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in commercial operations, merchant management or fintech partnerships.
• Strong operational mindset with the ability to execute quickly.
• Good understanding of digital lending, payments or embedded finance.
• Analytical, KPI‑driven approach.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM or merchant performance tools (nice to have).
