Secondary English Teacher (Maternity Cover)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Secondary English Teacher to cover a maternity leave at Laude San Pedro International College. The role involves delivering pre‑prepared lessons, maintaining a safe and productive classroom, and supporting students across various year groups.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑prepared lessons left by the regular teacher, ensuring learning objectives are met.
• Manage classroom behaviour to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Supervise students during lessons and transitions, ensuring their safety and engagement.
• Follow all school policies, including safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour procedures.
• Provide feedback and notes to the regular teacher on student progress and any issues.
• Adapt quickly to cover a range of subjects and year groups, often on short notice.
• Support learners with their work, encouraging participation and effort.
