Sector Manager – Hotel Occidental Las Canteras

About the role

Barceló Group is looking for a proactive Sector Manager to oversee the food and beverage operations at Hotel Occidental Las Canteras in Gran Canaria. You will ensure high-quality service, efficient resource planning, and a clean, welcoming environment for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and intervene in the delivery of food and beverage services across restaurants, bars, and other outlets.
• Plan staff schedules, manage shift rotations and control inventory stocks.
• Organise table assignments for waitstaff and monitor their performance.
• Address and resolve operational issues, ensuring swift problem‑solving.
• Maintain hygiene standards, oversee staff presentation and sector cleanliness.
• Control mise en place and take orders accurately.
• Report any quality or presentation deficiencies to the maître d’.

Required profile

• Mid‑level vocational training (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Medio o Superior).
• Minimum one year of experience as a waiter, preferably in a supervisory role.
• High level of English; additional language (French or German) is a plus.
• Strong organisational abilities and problem‑resolution skills.
• Capability to lead and manage a team.
