Senior Accountant – Global Compliance & Reporting

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our fast‑growing Global Compliance & Reporting team in Barcelona. You will work in an English‑speaking, truly international environment, supporting multinational clients across Europe with their accounting, tax, payroll and legal obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Interact directly with assigned clients of various sizes and sectors.
• Prepare, analyse and review general accounting entries, including suppliers, clients, provisions, pre‑payments, banks and fixed assets.
• Produce reporting, analytical accounting, treasury forecasts and any additional client‑requested information.
• Compile and present recurring client obligations and support the preparation of annual accounts and official books.
• Drive automation, standardisation and continuous improvement of internal accounting processes.
• Mentor junior accountants and accounting assistants, fostering a collaborative high‑performance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (Master’s or CPA/ACCA preferred).
• At least 5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent English communication skills (minimum B2).
• Proven ability to meet strict reporting deadlines and prioritize workload.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with IFRS and/or GAAP.
