Senior AI/ML Engineer

About the role

EcoVadis, a provider of business sustainability ratings, is looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join its growing AI Center of Excellence. The team uses AI and machine learning to drive innovation across the organization. The position is hybrid in Barcelona (2 days per week in the office) or fully remote from Spain, and is only offered to candidates eligible to work and live in Spain.

Key responsibilities

• Leverage data to solve business problems across EcoVadis's business units
• Design, develop, deploy and maintain scalable AI/ML systems
• Build AI/ML pipelines following MLOps, LLMOps and AgentOps best practices
• Build infrastructure to orchestrate batch and real-time pipelines
• Run large-scale experiments and tests to ensure pipeline quality and efficiency
• Partner with scientists and engineers to make AI/ML models accessible to end users and downstream processes
• Deliver end-to-end solutions using Python, MLflow, the Azure stack (Azure cloud, Azure ML, Azure Foundry) and Databricks

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Experience driving, designing and implementing production-grade AI/ML systems integrated into business applications, including model monitoring at scale
• Strong programming skills in Python and related ML libraries
• Experience in cloud technology, preferably Azure and its ecosystem, and Databricks
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including agile, code reviews, testing and operations
• Experience with REST APIs for ML model serving, Docker and container orchestration, and relational and non-relational databases
• Experience collaborating across functions (engineers, product managers); open-source contributions are a plus
