Senior Consultant (m/f/d) – Madrid

About the role

Oliver Wyman, a global management consulting firm, is hiring a Senior Consultant in Madrid. You will shape client engagements from problem definition through implementation, working alongside colleagues and clients to solve complex problems and drive change, while helping develop the next generation of consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Lead workstreams on client engagements, structuring analyses and developing actionable recommendations.
• Frame hypotheses, identify key business questions and direct quantitative and qualitative research.
• Apply structured problem-solving and analytical thinking to complex business issues.
• Develop client deliverables such as presentations, analysis, workshops, models and discussions.
• Manage and coach junior team members and build trusted client relationships.
• Travel within the home market and internationally as client needs require.

Required profile

• 3+ years of relevant experience in a Tier 1 strategy consulting firm.
• Undergraduate or advanced degree in STEM, Finance, Economics or a related quantitative discipline from a leading university.
• Fluent business English and either Spanish or Portuguese.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Experience in Financial Services, Insurance, Energy or Telecommunications is highly advantageous.

Required skills

• Outstanding analytical and quantitative problem-solving, able to structure ambiguous business problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across audiences and seniority levels.
• Cross-functional collaboration and delivering results under pressure.
• Nice to have: data analytics, advanced quantitative modelling or data science; CFA or equivalent; MBA or Master's from a top university.
